How to use your result

This is a quick check, not a quote. It tells you whether your rate is in the right range. The real saving depends on things a single number can't show:

  • Time-of-use split - how much of your usage falls in peak, shoulder and off-peak hours.
  • Daily supply and demand charges - these can vary a lot between retailers.
  • Your network tariff - whether your site is on the right one for how it uses power.
  • Billing errors - estimated reads and charges that don't belong.

Send us the bill and we'll check all of it. We don't take retailer commissions. Our fee is a share of what we save you, agreed in writing first, and if we can't save you money, you pay nothing.

A Sydney hospitality venue was paying 36.5c/kWh when it came to us. It now pays 28.0c, and has saved $22,524 since November 2023. Read how. More results: a dental practice (32%), a childcare centre (29%) and a medical practice (22%).

Common questions

How is the saving worked out?

We compare your rate with a typical competitive market rate for NSW small businesses, then multiply the difference by your yearly usage. If you enter a bill total, we divide it by your kWh to get an all-in rate (including supply charges and GST) and compare it with an all-in benchmark.

Is this an exact quote?

No. It's a rough estimate to show whether a full review is worth it. Your real saving depends on your tariff, time-of-use split, supply charges, network and contract. A free bill review gives you the actual number.

Where do I find my c/kWh rate?

On your bill, in the charges section, usually shown as cents per kWh. If you're on time-of-use, you'll see separate peak, shoulder and off-peak rates. Use your bill total and usage instead, and we'll work out the average.

Does it work for gas?

This checker is for electricity. For gas, send us your bill and we'll compare each usage block for you.
