Privacy Policy

Cheaper Business Energy is a trading name of Omni Energy Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 24 659 399 943) ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information, including the energy bills you send us. We aim to handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Contact details - your name, business name, mobile, email and state.
• Energy information - your electricity and gas bills, account and meter numbers (NMI/MIRN), site address, usage, tariffs, contract details and what you currently pay.
• Website information - the page you arrived on, campaign tags (such as UTM or ad click IDs) and, if enabled, analytics and advertising cookies.
• Anything else you tell us - by phone, email or in a meeting.

How we use it

• To review your bill, compare retailer offers and check for errors.
• To contact you about your review, a recommended switch and your ongoing energy costs.
• To prepare and manage any agreement with you, and to work out our fee.
• To keep watching your contract and rates, and let you know when it's worth moving again.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising.

We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

• Energy retailers, to get quotes for your site, and to arrange a switch only with your approval.
• Service providers who help us run the business, such as email, form, file storage, CRM and accounting providers. Some of these store data on servers outside Australia (for example in the United States).
• Advertising and analytics providers (such as Meta and Google) if we use their tools on this site.
• Anyone we are required to share it with by law.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Access, correction and marketing

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you at any time. You can also ask us to stop contacting you; just reply "no thanks" to any email or tell us by phone.
